About AMLX

Your partner in machine learning innovation.

AMLX is an applied machine learning company founded by entrepreneurial students from Eindhoven University of Technology with a focus on practical, high-impact systems.

Our story

From MOTEX to a broader safety systems ambition.

AMLX grew out of MOTEX, a startup developed during a master's trajectory at Eindhoven University of Technology. The team started from the belief that technology should not stay theoretical, but should solve meaningful problems in the real world.

That journey taught AMLX how to frame a challenge, work closely with stakeholders, iterate quickly, and stay focused on measurable impact. Over time, it became clear that the opportunity was bigger than a single project.

Today AMLX applies the same practical, engineering-driven way of working across safety, infrastructure, and industrial contexts where intelligent systems need to be useful in practice.

Team

Founders who bridge engineering, AI, and implementation.

Thomas van Heuvelen

Thomas van Heuvelen

Co-Founder & CEO

BSc Mechanical Engineering | MSc Industrial Design

Thomas focuses on project direction, concept development, technical strategy, and translating complex challenges into practical and implementable systems.

His perspective sits at the intersection of technology, engineering, and human use: building not only what can be made, but what should be made to fit the real context.

Loukas Lampidis

Loukas Lampidis

Co-Founder & CTO

MSc Electrical & Computer Engineering | MSc AI & Engineering Systems

Loukas focuses on software development, applied machine learning, and converting technical opportunities into practical solutions that are robust, relevant, and ready for use.

His work centers on intelligent systems that solve real-world problems without losing sight of reliability, deployment constraints, and end-user value.
